A two day course aimed at Social Workers, especially those undertaking CPEL. Participants are required to complete and return a workbook prior to attendance, which will be assessed by the Trainer. Please note that failure to return the workbook by a given deadline will result in the participants withdrawal from the course. This course does not go through the Wales Safeguarding Procedures and assumes the participant has some knowledge of the procedures, prior to attendance, in relation to:- Key definitions relevant to safeguarding children; Strategy meetings; S47 Enquiries; Core groups and Planning for Children. This course is part 1 of a 2 part programme, participants should enrol on the Psychology of Safeguarding after the completion of this course. Completion of both courses take key elements from the Process & Practice course, but does not replicate Process & Practice exactly.
This course is also suitable for previous participants of Process & Practice In Child Protection who may wish to refresh their knowledge and skills.
